Mamiya 645This is a semi-professional camera (ie considered as a "pro" camera by amateurs and as an "amateur" camera by many pros).
Film size 4,5x6 on 120 film (15 exposures, or 30 exposures on 220 film with a special roll film insert). For this 1000S version no interchangeable magazine. The shutter (8s to 1/1000s) is electric and does not work without a battery (PX28 / 4LR44).
This camera is equipped with a prism viewfinder without lightmeter; also exist a waist-level finder cap, a CdS prism for semi-automatic operation, and a "PD prism finder" with a silicon photo diode meter that takes control of the shutter for automatic use. The coupling of lens aperture values with the lightmeter prisms is made through a "finger" fitting into a fork on the aperture ring, just like the Photomic prism of a Nikon F / F2.
