Premier DC-1500

Back Language

Premier DC-1500, bought in february 2001.

Agfa Box 34This is my first digital camera. I cannot find the invoice, but I remember it was expensive (near 2000 Francs). No indication of origin either on the body or on the packaging or the instructions. Produced by Premier Image Technology Corporation, Taiwan. The phenomenal resolution of 1,5 million pixels allows for acceptable 10x13cm (4x5") images. Powered by 4 AA batteries, it is better to buy rechargeable batteries, a set of 4 alkaline batteries allows barely a dozen photos! Delivered with a 8MB compact-flash memory card, can store 20 to 70 images depending on the selected quality , the maximum permitted by the electronics is 48MB (I found such a card in the unsold a photographer!)
One boring thing: every battery-change the date goes back to 1999/01/01, more than half of my photos are recorded on that date!

In the package, in addition to the memory card, an AC adapter, a serial cable (DB9), a USB cable, two video cables (RCA and S-Video) to connect to a TV (NTSC!), drivers for PC (Windows 98) Mac (OS 7.5) on diskette and MGI Photosuite (Win98, Mac) on CD. Not forgetting the sleeve with reinforcements to prevent accidental pressing of buttons.
