"-Oh, your camera doesn't look well! -Yes, it's broken! -how much for this wreck? -5 euros. -O.K. I often need little screws."Back home, I changed the batteries an made a little cleaning, It works very well. I got with it the original case, an U.V. filter, and the strap.Without battery, if you press the release button after cocking, the f-stop closes and the mirror gets upwards, the shutter (Seiko-Copal 100% électrically controlled) doesn't move. Here is the "broken" aspect! You can return to a normal state by turning the shutter speed knob to the "X", only "manual" position (on the Minolta X300, there is no shutter-release possibility without battery)The KR-10 shows the same problem as the KR-5: the shock-absorber foam for the mirror breaks up and becomes gluey. The lense's name is Rikenon, not Riconar, Sometimes, when the japaneses get told that a name sounds bad in some countries, they change it. Is it the case here?
Tests: Please note that these tests were made with the means at hand, not in a "scientific" way. See here.
The standard lens of the KR-10 is excellent over the entire field and at all diaphragms. Good Japanese quality.
