Spotmatic II

Super Takumar 1.8/55mmThis is my first "professionnal" camera. After I bought it, I had it serviced by a specialist with pro cameras, and used it for years without a trouble.
I had dressed it with the case from a Zenit E, purposely modified for it, the good 3mm thick Russian leather protects better than the original Pentax case. The Super-Takumar has a mechanical coupling for full-aperture metering, not intended for the Spotmatic, which does real-opening metering, but for Pentax ES, ESII & Spotmatic F.
There were several generations of this camera: Spotmatic (“global” light-metering), Spotmatic II (this one, “balanced” light-metering) then Spotmatic F (without power-switch, lightmeter always connected, activated as soon as a little light falls on it, never forget to set the lens cap when not using it!), right before "K" series, first Pentax using bayonet mount.
