I rather much used this little toy; I like the sound of the shutter-release; sure it's a little noisier than Leica, but the price/decibels ratio is still attractive. The cocking is done by turning the large knob (on the left on the image) in the opposite direction of a cocking lever usual rotation. Small bonus on this camera: a dioptric correction lever, which you can see here on the right, concentric of the rewind knob. The leather covering is homemade, the frame hangers (same as the ones on my Zenit E) were replaced by real eyelets, pirated on a “corpse”, but I did not replace leather. The selector offers every standard shutter speed, from one second to 1/500 (warn! it is imperatively necessary to cock the shutter before choosing the speed). The slow-speed mechanism has not been adapted on the Zenit.
As my Zorki 4 is a little "modified", I wanted to have one in its original condition (and more with a white Jupiter-8). Surprise: this one, older, has from the start strap holders, and a "leather" covering (the original covering of "my" Zorki 4 was in laminated fabric, like on 4K)
