This is the second version with round rangefinder window and name on a screwed plate, as for Zorki-6 (the first version has a rectangular finder window and the engraved name -for most painted red-).
The Zorki 5 is the first KMZ rangefinder camera with a cocking lever, but still with "through the bottom" film loading. Large base rangefinder, thus letting no place for a timer for long exposures.

This version offers an advantage in case of disassembly: no rangefinder window to remove, and therefore no need to adjust the rangefinder after reassembly!
