ThierryMy name is Thierry HACQUARD, I was born March 16th, 1959.
I live in the area of Alençon (Normandie) since I was two years old.
I studied at "Louis Lumière" School (also called “Vaugirard”, the highest french school for photography) where I got my diploma in 1981.
After the army (in New Caledonia from August 81 to July 82), I worked at "Labo Services Normandie", big photofinishing factory now disappeared (eaten by KODAK™) where I worked at the amateur production, initially 6 months in Caen, then at Rouen until 1988, and a few months at Villejuif.
I entered in 1989 at SACAP (Colmar) as technician, in the maintenance of the minilabs and other equipment for the photographers.
At the end of 2003, the SACAP closed its engineering department, and ceased activities some monthes later.
I tried to continue the same work, on my account. Opened in 2005, and closed in 2011, leaving a large part of my savings. I am currently unemployed and on income support.

My collection began during my studies in Paris, while spending my free afternoons visiting the shops selling second-hand items, then during my years of work in factory, while going back from time to time to Paris…
I still supplemented it by some rare objects found by my “customers” photographers. Later, I made my shopping on Internet; it enabled me to find rarities directly in Russia or Ukraine. Currently, I have to pay attention to my budget, so this site rarely records new entries.

ChristopheAnd here's my little brother Christophe (I also have an older brother and a sister). Married, three daughters. He was born July 19th, 1968. After a "BTS Agricole in agri-food trade," he worked for several years in hypermarket, then tried his hand at the distribution of specialized software for dentists. Reonversion in the 2005's, with new studies: now he is operating block nurse.
Christophe collects vintage cars: it had two Peugeot 404, and has four running Citroen 2CV (one from 1958), plus one or two waiting for restoration . It takes a lot more room than cameras, which explains this picture, taken during the finishing of the garage he built, with protective clothing for operating block!
I gave him my passion for cameras, and has well participated in the acquisition of those of this site, but with a slight tendency to "monomania": ten Zenit Automat, eight Minolta SRT 101, almost as much Pentax Spotmatic... I'd be more in favor of one of each!
