August 2012: Zenit 122

Back Language

Voir texteTo repair the 122K I was entrusted in July, I bought this 122. It allowed me to make a quick repair, but this Zenit 122 was in perfect condition, it was a shame to leave it without display.
I bought batches of red and green LEDs to repair this camera, but also to possibly fix other ones.

Voir texteHere is the defective display removed from the 122K.

Voir texteUnder the metal cover, a sheet of white plastic, intended to balance the brightness of the red LEDs compared to the green.

Voir texteAnd behind, the three tiny LED.

Voir texteHere are three new diodes. The size of the head is good, but it will be necessary to adjust the base.

Voir texteThe resized Diodes are now weakened, it will be necessary to handle them carefully.

Voir texteHere they are welded on the board. The plastic piece that held the old LED could not resist the heat of the soldering iron, I therefore replaced it with foam rubber, before covering the whole with the sheet of white plastic and the metal cover.
Once the card in place, the repair is invisible (!), and the result is perfect.
Calibrating the meter (I begin to know!) and it's ready.
