Cameras servicing
Since 1978, I collect cameras. My collection consists mainly of cameras from the former Soviet Union, mostly purchased used. Except for 3 or 4, they are all fully functional and I have systematically serviced or repaired all newcomers.
Armed with this experience, I can offer my services for the rehabilitation of your cameras.
My specialty: the Zenit family of course (in particular Zenit 1, S, 3, 3M) and Zorki, Fed... The Prakticas, but also some Japanese, like the Minolta SRT101 or Canon FTb. In theory, all the "mechanical" bodies, provided not to need spare parts (but I begin to have a small stock).
March 2010:
Revision of this superb Nikkormat FT2: the control of short exposure times (between 1/125s and 1/1000s) is gummed up.
Top and bottom covers removed, I spend some of my cleaning agent in the shutter mechanism without removing the front to avoid damaging the coating. My tester showed me that the shutter now works perfectly.
