April 2016: Zenit 3M

This Zenit 3M was entrusted to me along with the previous Zenit-E. Degumming of the shutter did not need disassembly, a few drops of solvent deposited using a syringe were sufficient.

When reassembling the mirror-pentaprism block, I notice that the prism moves, its wedge foam is degraded.

And so, replacement of this foam.

The screws that hold the cocking mechanism tend to loosen, the cocking becomes hard. I put a drop of glue on these screws to block them.

Control of the good operation and of the focusing.

Reassembly finished, after cleaning and lubrication of the helicoid of the lens.
