August 2016: Pentax SP

Here is an unfortunately common failure in the Spotmatic family: the meter does not work. A quick test shows that the galvanometer is burned out.

No more galvanometer in my stock, I bought on ebay two more Spotmatics for parts ...
Here is a functional galvanometer ready for installation.

The new galvanometer in place. I tested the setting in comparison with other cameras of the same family: perfect!

Another concern is that the battery compartment is missing. I have another bottom cover (on top)...

... But it is very ugly. And no soles on the bodies I bought for parts! I will have to unset my battery compartment and bond it in the original base.

Body finished and ready to go back to it's owner.
