This summer, Thierry tried woodwork. He made a sewing machine table top, and installed the Singer 239 on it. He could put any machine in "Singer 15" size, but definitely he likes this machine saved from the dump.

Meanwhile, no sewing ('is not multi-task, the guy ...).

Sunday, October 15th. I'm invited to the workshop for fitting (at last!).

It's for a bra!
The shape is copied from my swimsuit top. The cups are made of flesh-color stretch fabric, already used to make me panties, edges and straps in cotton fabric, folded using a 6mm bias binder (but in straight thread, not in bias, to be able to stretch).

Measuring and cutting the shoulder straps to the correct length, and attaching the fasteners. The 239 was used till now, but for these finishings, sewing will be by hand.

We also have white stretch in stock. If all goes well I should also have soon a white bra.

Other fitting: a "square" collar, to determine the correct width and height, for a future blouse.
Have you noticed? the fabric is cotton veil, which should harmonize with my white skirt. Not easy to work, this fabric, it will need to be starched (the starch is on order!).

Tuesday, 17th.
Surprise, last evening Thierry came home with two bras!
Remained to sew the fasteners, and tonight I present them to you:

First, another pink bra. Look carefully: the shape is different from the first, the cups rise lower, which should allow for wider necklines (for my square collar).

And the expected white model (also in "low" version). Thierry made the cords in cotton voile, it's very soft!

Do you know other modest dolls who have such a beautiful collection of hide-tits ?

Sunday 22.
Here is a new collar, with dimensions calculated previously. It's square on the front, round on the back, and it's held by pins!

Of course it's made in larger pieces of fabric, for the next step: the cut, then the sleeves.

Some contretemps (a camera and a sewing machine to repair!), and we resume Thursday, 26.
Cutting the sides and fitting, it's too tigh at armholes, worse when trying to tack the sleeves. Bad day, Thierry starts to get upset and to say bad words (oh!), Better stop there.

The night brings advice, the next day Thierry has solved the problem and brings me a garment whose sleeves are sewn. And there even is a snap at the top of the back rather than pins!
Perfect!
Next step: hems.

Saturday 28.
The hems are made. But my shirt is then passed to the washing machine, and now it dries. The washing revealed a defective seam that will have to be repaired. The skirt is washed too. It's elastic is "cooked", it will have to be replaced.

Meanwhile, I introduce Bernie, another survivor of the dumpster.

Thanks to her, all the edges are oversewn, and my blouse will have simple hems, it is lighter with this kind of fabric.

Sunday.
Some stitches, iron, and I present you my complete outfit. Well, the weather is rotten, it would be nice to redo the picture on a sunny day (and in the meantime, could you please also iron the dress?).
