Lens mounts

Prepare Aspirin!
Parallel to Kiev 88, Arsenal produced Kiev 6 (S, TTL), then Kiev 60. The lens mount of the Kiev 88 was strongly inspired by that of the Hasselblad 1000 (which 88 is a copy). And the Kiev 6 (60) were strongly inspired by the Pentacon Six, which they took back the mount. As a result, each 120 Arsenal lens comes in two mounts. Where it gets complicated is that the reference of Cyrillic mounts is confusing for us Westerners.

Monture VHere is the "Hasselblad" mount of one of the lenses of my Kiev 88. At Arsenal, this mount is called "В". But this "В" is actually our "V", for example for МИР-38В, you must read MIR 38 V. You follow?

Monture BHere is the "Pentacon Six" mount of the Jupiter 36 given by Pierre. At Arsenal, this mount is called "Б", and this "Б" is our "B"!
So:
-If I'm looking for a Mir-26 for my Kiev 88, it will be called МИР-26В and I will have to pronounce Mir 26 V
-if Pierre is looking for a Mir-26 for his Kiev 6, its name will be МИР-26Б, and he will have to pronounce Mir 26 B.

It's okay, you find yourself there?
Now you have to know that the latest Kiev 88 products (Kiev 88 CM) are in Pentacon Six (Б) mount ! Big headache if you want to equip yourself by buying on the Internet.

There is an adapter for using the В(V)(Hasselblad) mount lenses on a Б(B)(Pentacon Six) mount camera, not the contrary. On some cameras (Kiev 6 and 60), it is also necessary to change the locking ring, too narrow. If I want to mount the Jupiter 36B on my Kiev, I will have to find another one in V mount for parts and exchange, not easy when you do not live in Ukraine.
